In dieser neuen Folge vom Student-Lab sprechen Aga und Nour über Uzara (iShongwe, iShinga oder iShongwane auf Zulu und Xhosa), eine Heilpflanze aus Südafrika, deren Wissen seit Jahrhunderten in indigenen Gesellschaften verankert ist. Mit historischem Blick und einem Interview mit Chenai Murata, Experte für Indigenous Knowledge Systems, zeigen sie, wie sich Europäer im 18. Jahrhundert dieses Wissens aneigneten und Uzara ohne Zustimmung, Anerkennung oder Beteiligung der indigenen Bevölkerung kommerzialisierten.
